What features do FP, CP and DPS images have and how do they tend to work as a Cohesion?
Today we looked at images and how they impact front pages, contents pages and double page spreads. We forced on images alone and how you can tell a lot from the image. I looked at a few in detail and I'll put a few on my blog and show the I can tell the genre of music and the target audience. Images and all these music magazines help convey the genre of the magazine and give off a representation of the target audience. For instance the one in the middle, the images suggest it's aimed at people who are into listening to music and possibly enjoy the sound of it due to the picture of the headphones, The front cover image suggests its aimed at young adults her facial expression shows an edgy side towards her and that she quite an out going person which reflects the target audience. However the one on the left suggests a more urban look and band style. Aimed more at an established audience who are into the killers and. The contents page of Q suggests it's all based on The Killers which stretch a very wide audience. As you can see images are vital when it comes to matching the target therefore, I need to make sure I get it right! I need to use the correct images.
